Brief School History

National Pingtung  Industrial Vocational High School was founded on April 1, 1935 in the name of 'Shi Jian Business School', then was changed to 'Pintung City Technical School' in 1943.  In 1970, it was changed as " Taiwan Provincial Pingtung Senior Industrial Vocational School.  In 2000, it was again changed as ' National Pingtung Industrial Vocational High School.

Life at School

The school is located at the downtown of Pingtung city, with the post office, Taisuco, and convenient stores in the neighborhood.  The school has a dormitory, which contains 64 students.  Now there are 45 students living in the dorm.  As for transportation, students can take Pingtung Bus.  Students are able to take train to Pingtung Train Station.  The school is a ten to fifteen minutes' walk.

Future perspectives

The school, first, encourages teachers for advanced studies, and adjusts the teaching subjects according to the future trends.  Secondly, it up-grades the teaching facilities and promotes research.  Students are expected to be the manpower in industry.
